about

It's about one of those watershed moments in life, you know it will happen but it still shatters you when it does.

The song is based on what I would hum to my kid to get him to sleep as a child.

The lyrics are about when I found my kid after being bullied.

The artwork was something I found last week. My son said it was from when he was being bullied.

lyrics

stood at the edge world and I talk you around.
I couldn’t protect you when the world put you down
Your eyes were vacant when you questioned me why
I couldn't’ find the words to silence your cries

And somehow I missed
The outwardly signs
Even though I looked
I missed them this time
And I let you down, little one
And I let you down, little one

You curled in a ball on a white leather chair
Your lips told a story and I wasn’t prepared
I saw the marks on that porcelain skin
I failed to protect you and let the wolves in

and somehow I knew
It would happen one day
But I didn’t predict
It would happen this way
And I let you down, little one
And I let you down, little one

Many years ago I stood on the edge
I tried to recall the wisdom he gave
See a father is nothing but a mortal man
That keeps the wolves away as long as he can

And somehow I know
It’ll happen again
just remember this doors
and let yourself in
and be here for you, little one
…………………here for you, little one
